Finora is a web-based personal finance dashboard that consolidates bank accounts, investments, and budgets into a single, beautiful interface. It targets millennials who want control over their money without complexity.
The Challenge
Financial dashboards are notoriously dense. Users felt anxious looking at raw numbers without context. The challenge was to present financial health in a way that felt empowering, not stressful.
My Solution
I developed a clean design system with a muted color palette that brightened when finances were healthy (green states) and used gentle reds only for actionable warnings. I designed a "Financial Health Score" widget as the hero element and used sparkline charts instead of full graphs for quick scanning.
Outcome
Beta users reported a 62% improvement in confidence managing their finances. Time-on-task for monthly budget reviews dropped by 40%.
