Overview
EcoTrack is a mobile application designed to help users monitor, understand, and actively reduce their personal carbon footprint. The goal was to make environmental data approachable and actionable for everyday people.
The Challenge
Existing carbon tracking apps overwhelmed users with data and lacked clear calls to action. Users needed a simpler way to see their impact without drowning in numbers.
My Solution
I designed a streamlined onboarding flow, a dashboard with intuitive progress rings, and a habit-based challenge system. Color-coded categories (travel, food, energy) made it instantly scannable. Gamification elements kept users engaged week over week.
Outcome
User testing showed a 78% increase in task completion rate over the previous benchmark. The design was selected as a finalist in the 2024 Behance UI Design Awards.
